Camp Welcome // Week One, Mackinac Island // May 28-June 1, 2026
For the women needing a summertime getaway in the Nantucket of the Midwest. If you’re obsessed with good food, hospitality that will inspire you, and boutique experiences that will challenge you in all the best ways, this trip is for you.
If you’ve ever wanted to see Mackinac in all its glory toward the beginning of the season when the lilacs are blooming, this is your chance, ladies! Come with us for the ultimate adult summer camp in one of the most beautiful spots in the United States.
Here’s a sample itinerary for this retreat:
May 28: Arrive at our cozy B&B in Bellaire for a curated, farm-to-table dinner on our wrap-around porch. We’ll enjoy some s’mores and wine by the campfire before heading out on our big adventure to Mackinac Island in the morning.
May 29: We’ll enjoy breakfast together at our B&B, and then carpool up to Mackinaw City, where we’ll hop on a ferry to Mackinac. We’ll get settled at our accommodations, and embark a bike trip around the island this afternoon before enjoying a delicious dinner out at one of our favorite restaurants on the island.
May 30: Breakfast together, and then we’ll take a historic carriage tour around the island to learn more of the history behind Mackinac Island. We’ll have time to get ready before heading to afternoon tea at The Grand Hotel at 4pm with our very own private horse-drawn taxi. Tonight, we’ll take a walk to watch the sunset on the shores of Lake Huron together.
May 31: Breakfast together, then a fudge-making class at Ryba’s at 11am. We’ll give you time to shop and look around this afternoon on your own, and relax. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a private art class on the water after dinner, trying our hand at watercolors inspired by the beauty around us.
June 1: After breakfast, we’ll all take the ferry, and drive back to Bellaire, where we’ll part ways after making sure you’ve got a boxed lunch to take with you on the road.
This five day Northern MI excursion includes:
Four nights, five days accommodations at our cozy bed & breakfast, and our favorite bed & breakfast on Mackinac Island, Haans 1830 Inn
Every single one of your meals during our time together, except for one lunch that you can choose on your own while we’re on the island
A welcome bag filled with goodies from our favorite local businesses
A private watercolor painting class taught by a local artist
Your ferry tickets on the island
A bike rental and tour on Mackinac Island
An Island Historic Carriage Tour, and a private horse-drawn taxi
Afternoon Tea at the Grand Hotel
A private fudge-making class at Ryba’s Fudge
Optional tickets to visit Fort Mackinac during your free time
All pre & post trip support from yours truly
The total cost for this trip is $2,850, but $490 reserves your spot! If you’re interested in a shared room option, we have 3 shared rooms available with special pricing. Please reach out for the shared option discount!
This retreat is filled to the brim with all of the hospitality we can muster. I can’t wait to invite you into my home in beautiful Northern MI, and onto the infamous Mackinac Island to my favorite Mackinac B&B, for a week to remember. You will be pampered, you will leave with new friends, and you will experience hospitality on another level.
NOTE: If you are the type of person who needs every second of a trip planned out, and you struggle to remain flexible when traveling, our trips are probably not for you. Rest assured, if something does change at the last minute (because of weather, scheduling conflicts, etc.) it’s only because a better opportunity came about, and I know it will only enhance the trip for you. As someone who understands this area well, I promise to give you my best - and ONLY my best - to leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.
