Camp Welcome // Week Two, Chain of Lakes // July 12-16, 2026
For the women needing a summertime getaway in the Nantucket of the Midwest. If you’re obsessed with good food, hospitality that will inspire you, and boutique experiences that will challenge you in all the best ways, this trip is for you.
Here’s a sample itinerary for this retreat:
July 12: You’re welcome to check in any time after 2pm and enjoy relaxing at our bed & breakfast, or walking the quaint town of Bellaire to visit local shops and restaurants. We’ll enjoy a Welcome dinner together on our wrap around porch later tonight, and s’mores by the fire with local wines.
July 13: This morning, we’ll head to Traverse City to enjoy brunch on the Schooner Manitou, a sailboat docked in West Bay. This curated farm-to-boat meal is inspired by the Great Lakes, and the beauty of the Leelanau Peninsula. We’ll have time to shop around Traverse City this afternoon before an evening cooking class at Black Star Farms with a wine pairing on Old Mission Peninsula.
July 14: We’ll enjoy breakfast altogether at the Inn, and then embark on a pontoon rental on Torch Lake. You’ll be able to relax on the boat, swim in the pristine blue of Torch, and enjoy a charcuterie lunch in one of the most beautiful places on earth. This afternoon, we’ll have time to explore the quaint town of Alden, then head back to the inn to relax. Dinner out at one of our very favorite restaurants here in Bellaire before coming back to the Inn to relax.
July 15: Today, we’re up early for a grab & go breakfast before heading to Sleeping Bear Dunes for the day. We’ll take you to all of the scenic spots: The Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, the historic town of Glen Haven, and Inspiration Point. We’ll continue along the infamous M22 drive through Empire to grab lunch and sit at the beach, before enjoying an evening in Glen Arbor, walking the shops and enjoying a five-star dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Northern MI. Campfire on the beach, and a late arrival back to the Inn.
July 16: On our last day together, we’ll enjoy breakfast together at the Inn, and enjoy a watercolor class, taught by a local artist, and inspired by the beauty of Northern MI we’ve been able to enjoy this week together. This afternoon, we’ll have lunch and leave you plenty of time to get home.
This five day Northern MI excursion includes:
Four nights, five days accommodations at our cozy bed & breakfast
